The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office will host a Conflict Resolution and De-Escalation Workshop for youth ages 10 to 18 on Tuesday, December 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Sheriff’s Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Ave., Shreveport, LA 71118.

The workshop is designed to equip pre-teens and teens with practical tools to recognize, manage, and resolve conflict in productive ways. Participants will take part in realistic scenarios that encourage good decision-making, improve communication skills, and promote respectful interactions at school, at home, and in the community.

Throughout the session, youth will learn how to identify common causes of conflict such as miscommunication, stress, and disagreements; discover techniques to de-escalate tense situations before they become confrontational; and explore strategies for responding to challenging behaviors calmly and safely.
