At approximately 4:44 a.m. on January 7, 2026, deputies from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a stabbing in the 11000 block of Old Carriage Trail, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered a 17-year-old male and a 16-year-old female suffering from serious injuries caused by a sharp object. Caddo Fire Districts 5 & 6 transported both victims to Ochsner LSU Health at 1501 Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA, with non-life-threatening injuries.

During the investigation, both victims, along with the mother of the 16-year-old, identified the suspect as Kaydyn Andow, 17. Shortly thereafter, deputies located Andow in the parking lot of Kingston Road Baptist Church, where he was taken into custody without incident. Following further investigation, Andow was arrested and transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was charged with attempted second-degree murder and aggravated battery.
