On January 7, 2026, the Detective Division of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office began investigating a burglary at a business located in the 4000 block of Buckley Compressor Station Road in north Caddo Parish, stated Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

Detective Lucky, assigned to the case, investigated reports of multiple tools and pieces of equipment stolen from the business. During the investigation, Lucky identified Thomas Plunkett, 37, as a suspect in the burglary. At that time, Plunkett was already incarcerated at the Caddo Correctional Center on unrelated charges. 

Further investigation confirmed Plunkett's involvement in the burglary and led to the recovery of several stolen items valued at over $7,000. 

As a result, Plunkett was charged with Simple Burglary. The investigation is still ongoing.
