Participants Begin Moving Into CPSO Transitional Work Release Facility
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office announced today that participants have officially begun moving into the Transitional Work Program Facility located at 1125 Forum Drive in Shreveport. This facility, which recently underwent improvements, was formally reopened during a press conference on February 6. It can accommodate up to 160 individuals.
The Transitional Work Program is designed to assist with successful reintegration by providing structured housing, accountability, and job opportunities for participants as they transition back into the community. Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr. stated, "This program plays a critical role in helping individuals take responsible steps toward reentry. By offering structure, supervision, and access to employment, we are enhancing public safety while equipping participants with the tools they need to succeed."
Leadership from the Sheriff's Office emphasized that the program benefits both participants and the community by promoting accountability, reducing recidivism, and supporting a safer, more stable return to society.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office remains committed to enhancing rehabilitation, responsibility, and partnerships within the community.
