The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office would like to express its sincere appreciation to the members of its Reserve Unit for their ongoing dedication, volunteerism, and support of the agency's mission to serve the citizens of Caddo Parish.

During a recent award ceremony for the Reserve Unit, Captain Matt Cowden and Chief Farris conveyed their gratitude to the volunteers whose service helps address staffing shortages across various departments. Chief Farris emphasized that the agency's ability to meet operational needs would be significantly affected without the continued contributions of the Reserve Unit.

Several members were recognized for their outstanding service. Reserve Deputy Cody Daniels received an award for logging the most patrol hours, with over 1,600 hours of volunteer service. Reserve Deputy Kerry Foster was honored for providing the most support hours. Both deputies were commended for their exceptional commitment to public safety and the Sheriff's Office.

The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office acknowledges that Reserve Deputies play a vital role in enhancing community safety and supporting full-time personnel. Their willingness to volunteer their time, skills, and dedication demonstrates a strong commitment to the citizens of Caddo Parish.

Sheriff Whitehorn and the agency's leadership thank every member of the Reserve Unit for their continued professionalism, service, and sacrifice.
