A phone scam calling for bond payments is currently targeting our community. Investigators with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office have reported that scammers are impersonating Caddo Sheriff's Deputies and asking individuals to pay bonds to have an inmate released. Please remember that no one from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office will ever request payment over the phone or ask for payment by mail, including through apps like Zelle, Cash App, or any other peer-to-peer payment applications.

Stay vigilant to protect yourself from these scams. Multiple individuals have already been targeted. If you receive a call like this, hang up immediately. Do not make any payments, provide personal information, or share details about gift cards or money cards. Your safety is important.
