Community members are encouraged to join families and law enforcement at the Pinwheel Garden Awareness event in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. The event will take place Saturday, April 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office Community Relations Office, located at 1501 Corporate Drive in Shreveport.

Everyone in attendance will place a pinwheel in the garden, symbolizing hope and CPSO’s commitment to protecting children and supporting families.

Child Abuse Prevention Month is observed each April to raise awareness about the importance of preventing child abuse and neglect. This is a time when communities nationwide come together and take action to support strong families, thriving children, and healthier communities.
