A Bossier City woman was arrested by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for stealing over $100,000 from her former employer.

Patricia Sutton, 55, was a secretary at CRJ Enterprises where she forged checks to herself between January 2008 and August 2009. She is accused of stealing $106,752.

The missing money was discovered during an audit that was conducted when Sutton was laid off because the company could no longer afford to pay her salary. She had been employed by the company for 23 years.

Sutton was booked into Caddo Correctional Center by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Yomeka Evans, who conducted the investigation. Evans is part of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.
