The Caddo Sheriff's Special Victims Unit has arrested a former Caddo Parish Sheriff's Deputy for sexual crimes involving a juvenile, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On April 16, investigators from the Special Victims Unit were alerted by a concerned citizen regarding Deputy Alvin Slay, 38, having inappropriate relations with a minor. After conducting a thorough investigation into these allegations, the investigators established sufficient probable cause to arrest Slay on three counts of indecent behavior with juveniles.

Following his arrest, Slay was taken to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on the aforementioned charges. Slay had been employed since March 2011.
