Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Awarded KLB Grant
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office has been awarded the 2025/26 Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) Trash Receptacle Grant. This grant will support the Sheriff's efforts to reduce litter in communities across Caddo Parish by providing trash receptacles in outdoor public spaces, thereby reducing littering.
This program does not provide cash grants; instead, it allows recipients to acquire up to five high-quality trash receptacles for use by Louisiana parishes, municipalities, recreation districts, and state agencies. We want to thank the Caddo Parish Commission for accepting the three awarded trash receptacles and for placing them in high-traffic areas, specifically near the entrances of the Caddo Parish Courthouse and the Caddo Parish Juvenile Court. The grant also aims to track the effectiveness of the trash receptacles in reducing litter and to raise public awareness of litter prevention by installing litter prevention signs on each receptacle.
KLB is Louisiana's leading organization dedicated to combating litter and enhancing community environments. The grant is part of an initiative funded by the State of Louisiana and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. Keep Louisiana Beautiful operates as a state program under the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and the Department of Culture, Recreation, and Tourism. It promotes personal, corporate, and community responsibility for a cleaner and more beautiful Louisiana. KLB offers local communities various programs and resources focused on litter education, prevention, removal, enforcement, beautification, recycling, waste reduction, and sustainability initiatives. KLB is affiliated with the national organization Keep America Beautiful and is supported by a robust statewide network of Community and University Affiliates.
