In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office invites the community to Coffee with a Cop, a community event focused on conversation, connection, and access to local mental health resources.

The event will take place Monday, May 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Safety Town, located at 8910 Jewella Avenue in Shreveport.

This informal gathering will provide residents with a welcoming, safe environment to have open conversations with deputies while enjoying free coffee. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about available mental health resources, along with practical tools and strategies to support overall well-being.

The event is designed to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community, while creating space for meaningful dialogue and building trust.
