Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr. announced today that applications are now being accepted for this summer's Caddo Sheriff's Camp.

This free overnight camp is open to boys and girls ages 9-12 and will take place at Kinsey Scout Reservation from June 7-10. The camp is organized by the Sheriff's Office in collaboration with the Scouting America - Norwela Council.

The camp aims to introduce scouting to children in Caddo Parish who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend summer camp. Campers will take part in various outdoor activities, including swimming, archery, and marksmanship, and will also work on developing their leadership skills.

Transportation to and from the camp will be provided, and funding is made possible through citizen donations. Applications can be obtained by calling the Scouting America - Norwela Council office at 318-868-2774.
