A Keithville woman is behind bars for robbing a man of his casino winnings, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
Vickie Lynn Smith, 37, of Keithville, was arrested by sheriff's detectives following an investigation into the January 19th robbery.
Detectives say Smith coaxed victim Billy Varnell into giving her a ride home from the Flashback Casino but instead of directing him to her house she directed him down a secluded road off Highway 169 where accomplices were waiting. When Varnell stopped his vehicle at a location designated by Smith, two men drug Varnell out of his vehicle and struck him in the head with a blunt object, rendering him unconscious. When Varnell came to, his wallet and the suspects were gone.
Smith, who is also known as Vickie Lynn Malott, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center by Detective Michael Escude', who investigated the case. Her bond has been set at $100,000 bond. Her accomplices are still at large.
