Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit Arrests Former Greenwood Police Chief on Sex Crime Charges
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit has arrested 75-year-old Glen Mazier of the 7800 block of Moncrief Lane on charges of two counts of First-Degree Rape and five counts of Sexual Battery, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.
The investigation began after the alleged victim reported the incidents to law enforcement. Because the reported offenses occurred within the jurisdiction of the Greenwood Police Department, the initial report was referred to that agency.
Due to Mazier's previous service as Chief of Police for the Greenwood Police Department and his current employment with the City of Greenwood, the case was subsequently assigned to the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit to ensure an independent and impartial investigation.
During the investigation, CPSO detectives worked in coordination with forensic interview specialists at the Gingerbread House Children's Advocacy Center in Shreveport. During the investigation, detectives developed probable cause and obtained a search warrant authorized by the Honorable Judge John Mosely.
Following the execution of investigative procedures, Mazier was taken into custody without incident on June 12, 2026. He was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on two counts of First-Degree Rape and five counts of Sexual Battery.
