A man from Shreveport was arrested on June 26 under a warrant for domestic abuse battery after an investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On June 18, 2026, deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 7900 block of Pathway Loop. During the investigation, the victim informed deputies that her son, Ryan Combs, 41, had engaged in a verbal argument with her.

The investigation revealed that Combs allegedly took the victim's cellphone, grabbed her by the arms, and pushed her during the altercation before leaving the residence and traveling to Bossier City. Deputies observed visible bruising on the victim's arms that was consistent with her account of the incident. As a result, a warrant was issued for Combs' arrest on one count of Domestic Abuse Battery.

On June 26, 2026, Combs returned to the residence, where deputies took him into custody without incident. He was then transported to the Caddo Correctional Center and booked on the outstanding warrant.

The investigation is ongoing.
