The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested a Greenwood resident following an investigation into a domestic violence incident involving a firearm.

On Friday, July 24, 2026, Detective Thaddeus Scott of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit, under the supervision of Lieutenant Doug Smith, was assigned to investigate a domestic altercation involving 60-year-old Robert Mik and a victim.
Detectives learned that during the incident, Mik and the victim became involved in a verbal argument inside their residence. Mik allegedly retrieved a Magnum revolver, pointed it at the victim, and intentionally fired multiple rounds into the floor beside them, as well as in the direction of the family dog. 

A search warrant was obtained for the residence, where detectives recovered the revolver believed to have been used in the incident. They also found multiple bullet holes and projectile impacts consistent with the victim's account. During the investigation, Caddo Sheriff patrol deputies determined that Mik had intentionally burned property belonging to the victim outside the residence.

After reviewing the victim's sworn statement, witness interviews, body-worn camera footage from responding deputies, and physical evidence collected during the search, investigators established probable cause to arrest Mik on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault, Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities, and Simple Arson.

Robert Mik was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center Friday, July 24, 2026.
