CPSO thanks participants and community partners for successful summer camps
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office would like to express its heartfelt gratitude to the children, teenagers, families, businesses, community partners, deputies, and staff who contributed to the success of this year's summer camps at Sheriff's Safety Town.
During June and July, Sheriff's Safety Town hosted two free summer camps, offering local youth opportunities to stay active, learn essential safety skills, form friendships, and build positive relationships with members of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. The June camp was for children aged 5 to 11, while the July camp catered to youth aged 12 to 17. Participants engaged in a variety of educational, recreational, and safety-focused activities in a supportive and positive environment.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office especially thanks the local businesses and community partners for their generous contributions of time, resources, and support, which were vital to the success of the camps.
"We are grateful to everyone who helped create a memorable experience for our young people," said Caddo Parish Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr. "From the parents who trusted us with their children to the businesses and community partners who supported our initiatives, this was truly a community effort. Most importantly, we thank every young person who participated. We hope they left Safety Town with new friendships, valuable lessons, and great memories from their summer."
The Sheriff's Office also acknowledges the dedication of deputies, staff members, instructors, and volunteers who committed their time to provide a safe, educational, and enjoyable experience for all participants.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office looks forward to continuing these partnerships and providing opportunities that educate, encourage, and positively impact the youth of Caddo Parish.
