The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Community Relations & Crime Prevention Division will host Golden Years Safety Week, a free four-day series of safety classes designed for older adults. The event will provide seniors with information and skills to help prevent accidents, recognize potential threats, and respond to emergencies. The event will take place September 1 - 4, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day at Sheriff's Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Avenue in Shreveport.

Tuesday, September 1: CPR/First Aid and Learn Lifesaving Skills
Wednesday, September 2: CPR/First Aid and Situational Awareness Bingo
Thursday, September 3: Slip and Fall Prevention Class and Life Alert
Friday, September 4: Phone/Internet Scam Prevention

The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office encourages older adults and their families to take advantage of this free opportunity to learn practical safety strategies and connect with resources that can help promote independence and peace of mind.
