The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is actively searching for an inmate who escaped from a deputy's custody while being transported from Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport.

At approximately 10:15 p.m., Tre'veon Jackson, 24, fled on foot from outside Ochsner LSU Health, located at 1501 Kings Highway in Shreveport. Jackson escaped as a Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office deputy was preparing to place him in a transport van for his return to the Caddo Correctional Center.

The deputy immediately pursued Jackson on foot, but Jackson was able to evade capture.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are involved in the search, including the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, Shreveport Police Department, LSU Medical Center Police, and the DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office Air Patrol.

Jackson was last seen wearing a white shirt, green shorts, and white shoes, with tight braids in his hair. He should be considered armed and dangerous due to serious charges against him. The public is advised not to approach or attempt to apprehend him. If anyone sees Jackson, they should immediately call 911 and provide his location, direction of travel, and any other relevant information to law enforcement.
