The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating a missing 32-year-old woman who walked away from her home on Saturday morning, according to Henry Whitehorn Sr.

At approximately 8:19 a.m. on September 19, deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Woodshire Court after Amber Nicholson, 32, was reported missing. Family members stated that Nicholson, who has autism, became upset and left the residence. Before departing, she made a concerning remark about walking into traffic.

Deputies immediately began searching the area but have not yet located Nicholson. Deputies entered her into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person.

Nicholson was last seen wearing a yellow shirt. 

Anyone who sees Nicholson or has information about her whereabouts is urged to report any sightings without delay. Please contact the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office at 318675-2170or call 911 if she is seen near a roadway or appears to be in immediate danger.

The investigation and search are ongoing.
