The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is investigating a single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a man.

Caddo Parish Sheriff's deputies responded to the area of Buncombe Road and Simpson Road following a report of a single-vehicle crash.

The male occupant of the vehicle was transported by Caddo Fire District personnel to Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, where he was pronounced deceased by a deputy coroner.

At this time, it has not been determined whether the man's death was the result of a medical emergency or injuries sustained in the crash. The exact cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the Caddo Parish Coroner's Office.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The crash remains under investigation by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
