A 16-year-old student from Southwood High School was arrested following an investigation into a threatening post made on social media. On September 22, 2026, Deputy Swan, the School Resource Officer, was notified about the post that was circulating online.

During the investigation, investigators confirmed that the student created the post. Detective Edwards from the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office responded to Southwood High School and interviewed the student in the presence of the student's parents.

As a result of the investigation, the student was arrested for menacing and taken to the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center.
