Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office detectives have arrested a woman in connection with the ongoing investigation into the recent escape of Tre'veon Jackson, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

On September 28, 2026, Detectives Lucky and Purgerson arrested Mikhala Duncan on an accessory to simple escape charge. During the investigation, detectives gathered information indicating that Duncan met with Jackson at least twice in Texas after he contacted her following his escape. Investigators also determined that Duncan met with Jackson on the night he was taken into custody in Marshall, Texas.

Duncan informed detectives that she was aware Jackson had escaped from custody when he reached out to her and when she subsequently met with him. According to investigators, Duncan stated that on the night Jackson was apprehended, she brought their child so Jackson could spend time with them.

Duncan has been arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on the charge of accessory to simple escape. 

The investigation into Jackson's escape is still ongoing.
