A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident involving her boyfriend on October 19, 2026, according to Caddo Parish Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.

Detective T. Brown responded to North Caddo Medical Center in Vivian, Louisiana, after receiving a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, he spoke with the victim, who stated that he had been stabbed by his girlfriend, Meredith Thomas, following a domestic dispute.

Investigators reported that the incident began around 5:00 a.m. when the victim and Thomas got into a verbal altercation at their residence. After the argument, the victim left with Thomas's cellphone. Thomas allegedly followed him to a McDonald's restaurant located in the 3000 block of West 70th Street in Shreveport, where a second confrontation occurred in the parking lot.

During the altercation, Thomas reportedly chased the victim through the parking lot in her vehicle before exiting the car armed with a knife. Investigators determined that she then pursued the victim on foot and allegedly stabbed him before fleeing the scene.

Detectives reviewed surveillance footage from the restaurant, which confirmed several aspects of the victim's account. As the investigation progressed, deputies located Thomas at her residence and recovered a knife believed to have been used in the incident.

Thomas was taken into custody and transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where she was booked on a charge of aggravated assault against a dating partner. The investigation is ongoing.
