Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Arrests Man on First-Degree Rape and Indecent Behavior with Juveniles Charges
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested a 41-year-old man following an investigation into allegations of sexual offenses involving a 12-year-old juvenile. Draymond Earl Watson, 41, who resides in the 9900 block of Rodessa State Line Road, faces one count of First-Degree Rape and two counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles, according to Sheriff Henry Whitehorn Sr.
The investigation began when a family member of the juvenile victim reported the allegations to authorities. Detective Thaddeus Scott of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Special Victims Unit initiated an investigation that included a forensic interview with the victim. Based on the evidence gathered during the investigation, the Honorable Judge Donald E. Hathaway signed an arrest warrant.
Members of the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office Patrol Division A-Team, supervised by Lieutenant James Guerrero and Sergeant Matthew Frizzell, located Watson. Upon seeing the deputies, Watson allegedly attempted to flee. However, K-9 Deputy Jacob Viatkus, along with Deputies Aaron Normand and William Conly, quickly apprehended him without further incident.
Watson was then transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked on one count of First-Degree Rape and two counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles, and numerous traffic violations.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is committed to protecting children, thoroughly investigating allegations of sexual abuse, and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable through the criminal justice system.
