School cafeteria worker arrested for indecent behavior with juvenile

Caddo sheriff's deputies arrested a 40-year-old high school cafeteria worker for propositioning a 12-year-old girl over the telephone, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Quenton Washington, of the 2100 block of Ruby Street, was arrested Monday and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Deputies said Washington posed as a 15-year-old boy and talked with the girl on the phone for several months. Many of the conversations were sexual in nature. The girl told deputies that in February Washington asked her to meet him for sex. She called a cab to take her to the meeting, but the cab never showed. The two did not meet, and the girl never discovered that he wasn't 15.

The Caddo Sheriff's Office began investigating Washington after they were contacted by the girl's family and a probation officer that intervened when the family thought the "15" and 12 year olds were getting too involved.

Caddo Deputy La Tienda Pierre then posed as the 12 year old and continued the phone conversations with Washington. During those conversations, Washington again said he wanted to have sex and made arrangements to meet, but he didn't show up for the meeting. Deputies learned later that he planned to meet the girl, but couldn't get away from his house.
