The treasurer of the Captain Shreve High School Athletic Booster Club Inc. was arrested on Tuesday for theft.

Danielle King, 44, of the 1600 block of Gentilly Drive in Shreveport, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center following an investigation by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Alan Davidson of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.

King is accused of stealing approximately $50,000 from the booster club account since 2006. Davidson said King wrote checks to herself for cash, then omitted those checks from records produced to the booster club.
