The manager of a Shreveport apartment complex was charged with theft for stealing money from the complex to pay her bills, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Tracy Diane Hawkins, 38, of Shreveport was employed by Tree Tops Apartments as an Office Manager. Between May and July 2009, Hawkins stole $5,318 by misappropriating tenants' rent money for her own personal use.

Hawkins was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center this morning following an investigation by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Yomeka Evans of the Caddo -Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.
