A former maintenance manager at Grand Oaks Apartments surrendered to authorities on Wednesday after a warrant was obtained for his arrest, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Derry Ray Marston, 53, of the 500 block of Janet Lane, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for felony theft.

Caddo Sheriff's Detective Bobby Herring, of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force, obtained a warrant for Marston following an investigation into the theft of nearly $26,000 from the business. Marston is accused of stealing the money over a two-year period. Herring said Marston used two different company credit cards to make unauthorized purchases.
