A woman who once worked as a receptionist at a local doctor's office was arrested on a warrant Wednesday for stealing cash payments from patients, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jeri Lynn Bruner, 35, of Keithville, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on a felony theft warrant obtained by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Doug Smith of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.

Bruner was an employee at Bridges to Beauty from January to May of 2011. During her time there as a receptionist, she pocketed approximately $5,600 in cash payments made by patients then altered billing records to conceal the thefts.
