Christmas celebration planned for Sheriff's Safety Town
Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator is inviting the public to attend a Christmas celebration at Sheriff's Safety Town from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, December 10.
The celebration will follow the Southern Hills Homeowners Association Christmas Parade, which will end at Safety Town. After the parade, guests are invited to take a walk through Safety Town while enjoying music and visiting with Santa Claus.
Sheriff's Safety Town is located at 8910 Jewella Avenue in the west-side parking lot of Summer Grove Baptist Church.
The parade, which will have 36 entries, will leave Southwood High School at 4:30 p.m. and travel from Walker Road to Mackey Lane to Sarah Lane, around Summer Grove Baptist Church and end at Safety Town.
At 6 p.m., Sheriff Prator and Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover will welcome guests. King’s Temple Church will perform at 6:10 p.m., the Fairfield Magnet Cheerleaders at 6:35 p.m., Summerfield Estates Silver Bells at 7 p.m., and Parker Ward will perform as “Elvis” at 7:30 p.m.
