Caddo sheriff’s detectives arrested a Benton man on Tuesday for using his grandmother’s debit card to make a series of unauthorized purchases, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jonathan Raines, 39, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for unauthorized use of an access card following an investigation by Sheriff’s Det. Doug Smith of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.

Raines is accused of using two debit cards belonging to his grandmother to make $4,074 in unauthorized charges between January and February. The charges ranged from purchases at gas stations, to buying new tires and getting a new transmission for his truck.
