A Shreveport man was arrested by Caddo Parish sheriff’s detectives for using a company debit card to swindle his employer out of $18,000.

Jeremy Byles, 31, of the 4100 block of Linda Lane, was an operations manager at Brown Brother LA, LLC, where he had access to company accounts and debit cards. Byles used the cards to make 17 ATM withdrawals totaling $8,800. He also used a company debit card to deposit $9,223 into his personal bank account using a mobile card reader on his cell phone.

Byles was arrested by Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Doug Smith and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of unauthorized use of an access card.
