Billboards are popping up all over Caddo Parish announcing an enforcement effort targeting people who litter parish streets and roadways. Sheriff Steve Prator announced the effort Thursday, along with State Police Troop G Commander Tom Madden and Caddo District Attorney Charles Scott. Fines for littering in Caddo Parish range from $250 to $5,000 and can also include community service. In addition to the public awareness campaign, the Sheriff announced more litter work crews, the hiring of an investigator to locate illegal dump sites and track down offenders, and a hotline number, Go Green (464-7336), where citizens can report anyone they seeing littering in Caddo Parish. Rodessa man arrested for committing church burglary Jul 02, 2009 A man who is currently serving time for breaking into the Rodessa Town Hall was also arrested Wednesday for a 2008 break-in at a Rodessa church, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.For the second time, DNA test results have connected Sylvester Reed, 44, of Rodessa,to the crime scene.
