The South Substation is located at 3268 Stagecoach Rd., Keithville, LA 71047. This location is conveniently located just off the Mansfield Rd., approximately 2 miles south of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop.
The Patrol Division's South Sector units work out of the substation. The sector commander, Lt. Bart Wood, maintains his office at the substation. In addition there are currently seven patrol sergeants and twenty-four patrol deputies working the South sector. The deputies are divided among three rotating shifts providing patrol services to the citizens of the sector twenty-four hours, seven days a week.
Services available at the substation range from the payment of ticket and court fines, hunting, and fishing licenses (both residential and non-residential) and obtaining offense and accident reports.
The South Sector Citizen Advisory Board normally meets the third Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at the substation. Citizens are encouraged to stop by and discuss both problems and possible solutions to problems in their neighborhood.
There is also a very active Neighborhood Watch Program in the South Sector. Several neighborhoods in the sector have received training and are now participating in keeping crime out of their homes.
