DISQUALIFICATION REASONS
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office sets universal requirements for all its
employees. Below are some of the reasons why an individual might be terminated
from the selection process:
- Under twenty-one (21) years of age
- Not a U.S born or naturalized citizen
- Lack of a GED or high school diploma
- Not willing to work a particular shift
- Failure of any of the following tests:
- Reading comprehension
- Physical fitness test
- Interview
- Pre-polygraph exam
- Background investigation
- Post-polygraph exam
- Psychological exam
- Medical exam and drug screen
- Drug history:
- Marijuana use within the last calendar year
- Schedule Two drug use
- Sale of any drugs
- Criminal History:
- Any felony conviction
- Misdemeanor conviction within the past three (3) years
- More than one DWI total, and any in the last five (5) years
- Domestic violence conviction
All information obtained during the selection process
shall be kept confidential, and in the event that your
application is disqualified, CPSO is under no obligation
to reveal the reason for said disqualification.
