From the routine to the extraordinary, the News Media Relations Division informs the public of Sheriff's Office operations and activities through general releases issued to all news media oganizations and interviews arranged with individual newspapers, television stations, radio stations and wire services.
Available in this section are the most recent news releases, as well as all the 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 news releases and many of the media advisories issued by the CPSO News Media Relations Division.
Grouped by calendar years, the news releases are conveniently cross-referenced in a variety of ways to make it easy for you to find what you're looking for. Releases are also listed chronologically in six-month segments so you may simply scan the headlines for all the releases published.
Also available are a number of background articles on subjects of interest.
The News Media Relations Division also publishes an Annual Report summarizing the activities of each Sheriff's Office organization for the preceeding fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). Those summaries are currently available for the 1996-97 fiscal year's Annual Report, as well as the 1995-96 fiscal year.
