News Event Advisory!!

Sheriff's Summer Camp (in progress) News Conference
12 Noon Tuesday at Garland Scout Ranch
(be our guests for lunch, too)

Caddo Parish Sheriff Don Hathaway's Summer Camp begins Monday (July 13) and we've scheduled a News Conference for lunch time on Tuesday, July 14, at the Garland Scout Ranch on the west side of U.S. 171 a couple of miles south of North DeSoto High School.

The News Conference on Tuesday, July 14, officially begins at 12:00 Noon and includes:

• Lunch with the campers (in the dining room, not on the ground outside)
• Brief remarks from and individual interview opportunities with Sheriff Hathaway and Boy Scout officials
• Interview opportunities with campers and staff
• Demonstrations by the Sheriff's K-9 teams and Mounted Patrol (we're also trying to arrange a LifeAir Rescue Helicopter fly-in)

Campers will be involved in the various activities (swimming, archery, crafts, etc.) in the morning before lunch, as well as after the demonstrations if you want to photograph and/or observe the campers in traditional camper action.
