Deputies in Caddo Parish Sheriff Don Hathaway’s Organized Crime and Patrol Divisions ended a short term investigation early this morning when they arrested two men at a Greenwood motel and seized drugs with a street value of more than $8,100.

At about 4 a.m. today, the narcotics agents and patrol deputies seized more than eight pounds of marijuana with a street value of more than $8,000, about one gram of methamphetamines valued at about $100, some drug paraphernalia and more than $1,000 in cash. They arrested James Slate Gilcrease, 26, of 7300 Broadacres Road, for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of methamphetamines, and Earl J. Koenig, 21, of Houston, for possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

The deputies booked both men at the Caddo Correctional Center at about 8:45 a.m. today. Bonds have not been set.
