A 25-year-old Shreveport man died in a one-car accident in the 2500 block of Barron Road early this morning.

Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Carl Townley said Danny Glenn Spillman, Jr., 25, of 9364 Wardlow, was westbound on Barron Road at about 3:30 a.m. today when he apparently lost control of his 1994 Toyota Tercel in a curve. Townley said evidence collected at the scene indicates the car slid for about 340 feet before leaving the north side of the road and hitting a tree.

Caddo Parish Deputy Coroner Joe Johnson pronounced Spillman dead at the scene.
