Sheriff’s narcotics agents arrest one, seize marijuana plants
Caddo Parish Sheriff’s narcotics agents concluded a short-term investigation this morning with the arrest of a Rodessa man and the seizure of about $11,000 worth of marijuana plants.
At about 9:10 a.m. today, the narcotics agents arrested Jimmy Charles Wingo, Jr., 28, Williams Street in Rodessa. The agents had established a surveillance in a wooded area off United Gas Road No. 1 west of Rodessa where they believe Wingo was growing marijuana plants.
After the arrest, the agents seized 11 marijuana plants with a street value of about $11,000. They also found a small amount of marijuana in Wingo’s pockets and in his residence.
Sheriff’s deputies booked Wingo at the Caddo Correctional Center at about 11:30 a.m. today and charged him with cultivation of marijuana and possession of marijuana. Bond has not been set.
