Agents execute search warrant, arrest eight

Narcotics agents with the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Caddo-Bossier Narcotics Task Force closed a two-month investigation when they executed a search warrant in Shreveport and arrested eight people.

At about 4:15 p.m. today, the agents executed a search warrant at the 566 E. 78th Street residence of 65-year-old H. L. Loston. The agents arrested Loston and charged him with two counts of distribution of cocaine and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. At the time of his arrest, Loston was awaiting trial on other drug charges.

In executing the search warrant, the agents seized 17 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of about $1,700, and a variety of drug paraphernalia.

The agents also arrested James Monroe, 52, of Keatchie; George Carter, 45, of 2324 Broadway in Bossier City; Lee James Nelson, 39, of 234 E. 77th Street, and Diane Hunter, 40, of 4330 Illinois Street, and charged all of them with possession of cocaine. The agents also charged Hunter with possession of drug paraphernalia. The agents issued a misdemeanor summons to Johnny Diggs, 37, of 558 E. 78th Street, for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The agents also arrested two other Shreveport men, Marvin Davis, 47, and Arthur Bryant, 56, on outstanding non-drug-related city warrants.

All except Diggs were booked at the Caddo Correctional Center where they remain pending bonds being set.
