Agents arrest two on drug charges
Caddo Parish Sheriff’s narcotics agents and Louisiana State Probation and Parole agents seized $4,600 in illegal drugs and arrested two Shreveport men today while checking a Roosevelt Street house for probation violations.
At about 10 a.m., Sheriff’s narcotics agents accompanied the state Probation and Parole agents to the house at 8111 Roosevelt Street. While checking the residence for probation violations, the agents seized 578 controlled prescription pills; small amounts of methamphetamines and marijuana, and injectable steroids. The estimated value of all illegal substances seized was about $4,600. The agents also seized a loaded handgun and $14,867 in cash.
The agents arrested Eric L. Randolph, 33, of 8111 Roosevelt Street, and charged him with possession of methamphetamines, possession with intent to distribute hydrocodone, possession of steroids, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and illegal carrying of a weapon.
The agents also arrested John Michael Gibbs, 33, of 9518 Teche Way Drive, and charged him with possession of marijuana and possession of Valium.
Agents booked Randolph and Gibbs at the Caddo Correctional Center at about 2:20 p.m. Randolph is being held in the Caddo Parish jail on a probation violation, while a $3,187 bond has been set for Gibbs.
