A 21-year-old Keithville man died from injuries he suffered in a two-vehicle head-on crash Wednesday afternoon on Old Mansfield Road in Keithville. Another Keithville man has been charged with DWI in that crash.

Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Stuart Talbot said Fronado D. Jackson, 21, of 11970 Summit in Keithville, was northbound in the 11400 block of Old Mansfield Road at about 3 p.m. Wednesday when the 1987 Ford Bronco he was driving was hit head-on by a Chevrolet four-by-four pickup truck driven by Dennis Harold Eaves, 48, of 12585 Rust Lane in Keithville. Talbot said Eaves has been charged with DWI.

Talbot said the two vehicles collided in the northbound lane. Jackson was airlifted by Life Air Rescue Helicopter to LSU Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Eaves was taken to LSUMC by Balentine Ambulance Service.

Talbot said the incident remains under investigation by Caddo Parish Sheriff’s deputies.
