Sheriff’s narcotics agents arrest another in Sugar Hills case
Caddo Parish Sheriff’s narcotics agents arrested another person Monday night in connection with the two-month investigation into illegal drug activities in the Sugar Hills Subdivision in Keithville that resulted in nine arrests Friday.
At about 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sheriff’s narcotics found Joseph Pipkins, 29, of Keatchie, in the Cedar Grove area of Shreveport, followed him to Mansfield Road where they stopped him with the assistance of Shreveport police officers.
The agents arrested Pipkins on a warrant charging him with two counts of distribution of cocaine, one count of distribution of marijuana and one count of distribution of a false controlled dangerous substance (CDS). While he was arrested without incident, he was in possession of a loaded handgun, resulting in an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The agents booked Pipkins at the Caddo Correctional Center at about 10:30 p.m. Monday.
