A Captain Shreve High School student died instantly in a one-car accident at about 1 a.m. today in South Caddo Parish.

Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Anderson said Case Thomisee Chandler, 15, of 352 Cope Drive, was driving a 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse northbound on Ellerbe Road just south of La. 175 when the car went off the east side of the road and hit a tree. Chandler was alone in the car at the time of the accident.
