A Vivian teen-ager died in a one-vehicle accident this morning on U.S. 71 in Hosston.

Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Deputy Dale Hubbard said Keith Wayne Moore, 17, of 623 Northwest Front Street in Vivian, was northbound at about 5 a.m. today on U.S. 71 near the southern town limits of Hosston in Northeast Caddo Parish. Hubbard said the 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck Moore was driving crossed the southbound lane and traveled about 465 feet along the roadside drainage ditch before hitting a clump of trees. Hubbard said the pickup truck rolled and came to rest on its top. Hubbard said Moore, who apparently fell asleep at the wheel, was ejected from the truck.

Moore was pronounced dead at the scene by Caddo Parish Deputy Coroner Vicki Foster.
