Assistant Chief Deputy of Operations Report

I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every member of the Bureau for a job well done. I further want to encourage all our deputies to continue and even heighten our efforts to be the best that we can be, and to deliver a first-class service to those who live in and visit our parish. After all, we are recipients of our own services.

This past year has been challenging both personally and professionally for me as Chief of Operations. Like the agency as a whole, we have gotten the job done, but with much sacrifice, as it has been taxing with respect to the increase in demands from a deserving citizenry.

With the opening of the Red River Raceway in recent months and an increased demand for public safety, concerns have risen. With reported new ventures scheduled to occur on La. 1 and La. 2, along with other such endeavors, I believe much of the same is forthcoming.

As we approach the new millennium, growth in residential and business ventures continue to increase within the jurisdictional boundaries of Caddo Parish. Therefore, our planing must be pro-active rather than reactive, waiting until things are upon us.

I am confident that we will continue to meet the challenges put before us and continue to give the citizens of Caddo Parish outstanding law enforcement service.
